A delegation from the National Statistical Institute, headed by its President Assoc. Prof. Mariana Kotzeva, will visit the National Statistics Office of Malta on 11th and 12th November. Members of the delegation are the Secretary General of NSI Mr. Tsvetan Nanov and experts. The purpose of the visit is to obtain technical and methodological assistance on designing a web-based “School in Statistics”, like the one already developed there.
The National Statistics Office of Malta is leader in increasing statistical literacy and in building up culture of statistical information usage in the society.
The main aspects that will be discussed at the meeting are – methodology, specification of the target groups, software solutions for the “School in Statistics”.
The programme also provides a working meeting with the Director General of the National Statistics Office of Malta, Mr. Michael Ross.
The visit is funded through the 2006 Multi-beneficiary Phare Programme for statistical cooperation.
