Turnover Indices in 'Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles' in December 2020
According to the preliminary seasonally adjusted data in December 2020 the turnover in ‘Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles’ at constant prices decreased by 1.7% compared to the previous month. The working day adjusted turnover fell by 12.0% as compared to the same month of the previous year.
Industrial Production Indices in December 2020
According to the preliminary data in December 2020 the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted increased by 0.1% as compared to November 2020.
In December 2020 the working day, adjusted Industrial Production Index fell by 3.3% in comparison with the same month of 2019.
Newly Built Residential Buildings and Dwellings Completed in the Fourth Quarter of 2020 (preliminary data)
According to preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute in the fourth quarter of 2020 the number of newly built residential buildings was 969 and the newly built dwellings in them were 4 401. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2019 the buildings were by 32 more (or by 3.4%) and the newly built dwellings in them increased by 220 or by 5.3%.
Consumer Survey, January 2021
In January 2021, the total consumer confidence indicator increases by 4.1 percentage points in comparison with October 2020. An increase of consumer confidence among both urban and rural inhabitants by 3.1 and 7.6 percentage points respectively is reported.
Building Permits Issued and Construction of New Buildings Started in the Fourth Quarter of 2020
In the fourth quarter of 2020, the municipal authorities issued building permits for construction of 1 451 residential buildings with 9 779 dwellings, of 14 administrative buildings/offices and 1 005 other buildings. The construction of 1 008 residential buildings with 5 616 dwellings, of 13 administrative buildings/offices and 572 other buildings was started.
Production and Deliveries of Energy Products, November 2020
In November 2020 compared to October 2020 an increase is reported for the production of unleaded motor gasoline - by 1.1%, transport diesel - by 0.5% and electricity - by 21.2%. A decrease is reported for the production of solid fuels - by 6.7% and liquefied petroleum gases - by 28.6%. No change for the production of natural gas.
In November 2020 compared to October 2020 an increase is reported for the deliveries of liquefied petroleum gases - by 15.6%, natural gas - by 30.8% and electricity- by 16.6%. A decrease is reported for the deliveries of solid fuels - by 5.4%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 9.8% and transport diesel - by 14.8%.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, December 2020
Total Producer Price Index in December 2020 increased by 1.9% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2019 the prices fell by 0.7%. Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in December 2020 increased by 1.0% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2019 the domestic prices went down by 0.5%.
Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in December 2020
In December 2020, during the continuing epidemic situation in the country, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 269.4 thousand, or by 49.1% under the registered in December 2019.
In December 2020, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 246.9 thousand or by 63.3% less in comparison with December 2019.
Business Conjuncture, January 2021
In January 2021, the total business climate indicator increases by 6.9 percentage points compared to December 2020 as a growth of the indicator is registered in all observed sectors - industry, construction, retail trade and in services.
Activity and condition of accommodation establishments during the state of emergency in December 2020
The National Statistical Institute conducts monthly short survey among the managers of accommodation establishments to gather accurate and timely information on the state and development of their businesses during the ensuing epidemic situation in the country.
