According to the preliminary data the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, increased by 0.3% in October 2016 as compared to September 2016. In October 2016 the working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 2.8% in comparison with the same month of 2015.

According to the seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the third quarter of 2016 is 3.4% compared with the same quarter of 2015.

The survey is a part of the European Health Survey System in the framework of the European Statistical System. The EHIS aims at measuring on a harmonized basis and with a high degree of comparability among EU Member States, the health status, life style (health determinants) and health care services use of the EU citizens.

NSI presents final results based on the conducted in 2014 EHIS.

Total Producer Price Index in October 2016 increased by 0.6% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2015 the prices went down by 0.7%. Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in October 2016 rose by 0.4% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2015 the domestic prices fell by 1.4%. 

In September 2016 compared to August 2016 an increase is reported for the production of solid fuels by 2.1%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 10.2%, transport diesel - by 22.5% and natural gas - by 14.3%. At the same time a decrease is reported for the production of liquefied petroleum gases by 11.1% and electricity - by 4.0%.

In September 2016 compared to August 2016 an increase is reported for the deliveries of solid fuels by 2.4%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 13.6% and natural gas - by 18.6%. At the same time a decrease is reported for the deliveries of liquefied petroleum gases by 6.4%, transport diesel - by 21.9% and electricity - by 5.6%. 

In October 2016, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 404.0 thousand or by 20.4% above the registered in October 2015. The trips with other purposes (as a guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) in October 2016 composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 48.7%, followed by the trips with professional purpose - 26.7%, and with holiday and recreation purpose - 24.6%.

In October 2016, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 678.6 thousand or by 17.6% more in comparison with October 2015. An increase was registered in the trips by all observed purposes: with professional purpose - by 22.9%, with holiday and recreation purpose - by 18.7%, and with other purposes - by 14.9%.

In November 2016 the total business climate indicator increases by 0.6 percentage points in comparison with October which is due to the improved business climate in industry and retail trade.

According to preliminary data during the third quarter of 2016 in comparison with the same period of 2015 the goods carried by the freight land and water transport increased by 2.2%, while the transport performance decreased by 7.3%.

In the third quarter of 2016 both transported passengers and transport performance by the passenger transport (land, water and urban electrical transport) decreased compared to the same period of the previous year, respectively - by 9.6% and 3.6%. 

The producer price index in agriculture in the third quarter of 2016 decreased by 5.7% in comparison with the same quarter of 2015. The crop output index decreased by 6.0%, as well the animal output index - by 3.5%. In comparison with previous year the prices of agricultural output went down by 7.8%. The same decrease was observed in both, crop output price index and animal output price index.

The index of prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture in the third quarter of 2016 was 4.3% below the level in the same quarter of previous year and by 3.0% compared to 2015.

According to the preliminary data for the third quarter of 2016 the total turnover index in section ‘Transportation, storage and post’, calculated on the basis of seasonally adjusted data decreased by 1.7% compared to the second quarter of 2016, while in section ‘Information and communication’ - by 1.0%.
