Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in September 2016
In September 2016, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 510.3 thousand or by 13.2% above the registered in September 2015. The trips with other purposes (as a guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) in September 2016 composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 46.8%, followed by the trips with holiday and recreation purpose - 33.0%, and with professional purpose - 20.2%.
In September 2016, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 1 192.3 thousand or by 12.9% more in comparison with September 2015. An increase was registered in the trips by all observed purposes: with professional purpose - by 31.1%, with holiday and recreation purpose - by 15.5%, and with other purposes - by 3.7%.
Deficit and Debt of General Government Institutional Sector in the Republic of Bulgaria in 2015
According to the final data of the National Statistical Institute the General Government Institutional Sector reported in 2015 a deficit of 1 490 million BGN or 1.7% of GDP.
The Government Debt of Bulgaria for 2015 is 23 049 million BGN or 26.0% of GDP.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in September 2016
The consumer price index in September 2016 compared to August 2016 was 99.5%, i.e. the monthly inflation was -0.5%.
Activity of accommodation establishments in August 2016
In August 2016, 3 122 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed-places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 134.1 thousand and the bed-places were 308.9 thousand. In comparison with August 2015 the total number of accommodation establishments (functioned during the period) increased by 3.1% and the bed-places in them - by 3.3%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in August 2016 was 5 838.2 thousand, or by 13.1% more in comparison with the same month of the previous year,
The total revenues from nights spent in August 2016 reached 298.9 million BGN or by 15.2% more compared to August 2015.
Bulgarian Trade with EU in the Period January - July 2016 (preliminary data)
In the period January - July 2016 the Bulgarian exports to the EU grew by 4.3% compared to the same period of 2015 and amounted to 17 496.6 Million BGN while the imports from the EU decreased by 1.0% and reached 18 966.4 Million BGN.
In July 2016 the exports to the EU increased by 7.2% in comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 2 817.4 Million BGN while the imports added up to 2 914.9 Million BGN and dropped by 4.3%.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - August 2016 (preliminary data)
In the period January - August 2016 the Bulgarian exports to third countries decreased by 13.8% compared to the same period of 2015 and amounted to 9 516.1 Million BGN while the imports dropped by 12.5% and added up to 10 892.1 Million BGN.
In the period January - August 2016 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 29 691.0 Million BGN and in comparison with the corresponding period of the previous year the exports decreased by 2.0% while the total value of all imported goods added up to 32 631.3 Million BGN and dropped by 3.9%.
Construction Production Indices in August 2016
According to the preliminary data, in August 2016 the index of production in section ‘Construction’ calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 0.4% above the level of the previous month. In August 2016 the working day adjusted index of production in construction decreased by 10.2% in comparison with the same month of 2015.
Turnover Indices in 'Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles' in August 2016
According to the preliminary seasonally adjusted data in August 2016 the turnover in ‘Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles’ at constant prices increased by 0.9% compared to the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in August 2016
According to the preliminary data the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, increased by 0.7% in August 2016 as compared to July 2016. In August 2016 the working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 2.6% in comparison with the same month of 2015.
