According to the preliminary seasonally adjusted data in July 2016 the turnover in ‘Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles’ at constant prices kept the level of the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in July 2016
According to the preliminary data the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, decreased by 1.6% in July 2016 as compared to June 2016. In July 2016 the working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 2.3% in comparison with the same month of 2015.
Gross Domestic Product for the Second Quarter of 2016 (preliminary data)
According to the seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the second quarter of 2016 is 3.0% compared with the same quarter of 2015.
Activity of Non Financial Enterprises for 2015 (preliminary data)
According to preliminary data 326 380 non-financial enterprises submitted their annual reports for 2015 at the National Statistical Institute. They generated 140 024 million BGN of production value, realised 44 765 million BGN of value added at factor cost and employed 1 921 578 persons.
Activity of Financial Enterprises and Associations and Foundations in 2015 (preliminary data)
At the National Statistical Institute according to preliminary data 55 licensed insurers, 9 pension companies and 28 pension funds managed by them, 243 special investment purpose companies and 9 799 associations and foundations have submitted their annual reports for 2015.
Foreign Direct Investments and Expenditure on Acquisition of Tangible Fixed Assets in 2015 (preliminary data)
According to preliminary data the foreign direct investments in the non-financial sector as of 31.12.2015 amounted to 23 127 million Euro, which is 7.2% more compared to 2014.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, July 2016
Total Producer Price Index in July 2016 decreased by 0.2% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2015 the prices went down by 4.3%. Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in July 2016 declined by 0.1% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2015 the domestic prices fell by 3.8%.
Production and Deliveries of Energy Products, June 2016
In June 2016 compared to May 2016 an increase is reported for the production of liquefied petroleum gases - by 12.5%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 0.6%, and electricity - by 10.8%. At the same time a decrease is reported for the production of solid fuels - by 6.1%, transport diesel - by 9.5%, and natural gas - by 14.3%.
In June 2016 compared to May 2016 an increase is reported for the deliveries of transport diesel - by 1.3%. At the same time a decrease is reported for the deliveries of solid fuels - by 5.5%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 15.9%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 50.0%, natural gas - by 13.0%, and electricity - by 1.3%.
Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in July 2016
In July 2016, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 577.2 thousand or by 9.2% above the registered in July 2015. The trips with other purposes (as a guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) in July 2016 composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 46.6%, followed by the trips with holiday and recreation purpose - 37.0%, and with professional purpose - 16.4%.
In July 2016, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 1 872.4 thousand or by 14.7% more in comparison with July 2015. An increase was registered in the trips by all observed purposes: with professional purpose - by 25.6%, with holiday and recreation purpose - by 20.6%, and with other purposes - by 4.6%.
Business Conjuncture, August 2016
In August 2016 the total business climate indicator remains approximately to its July level. An improvement of the business conjuncture is registered in industry and service sector, while a reduction of the indicator is observed in construction and retail trade.
