Activity and condition of accommodation establishments during the state of emergency in September 2020
In October 2020, the National Statistical Institute conducted the monthly inquiry survey of the managers of accommodation establishments to gather accurate and timely information on the state and development of their businesses during the ensuing epidemic situation in the country.

Bulgaria and EU: Deficit and debt of General Government Institutional Sector for 2019
In 2019, the government deficit of the EU increased in relative terms compared to 2018, while the government debt decreased. In the EU, the government deficit to GDP ratio rose from 0.4% in 2018 to 0.5% in 2019. In the EU the government debt to GDP ratio declined from 79.5% at the end of 2018 to 77.6% at the end of 2019.

According to final data of the National Statistical Institute the General Government Institutional Sector reported in 2019 a surplus of 2 304 million BGN or 1.9% of GDP.
The Government Debt of Bulgaria for 2019 is 24 212 million BGN or 20.2% of GDP.
Economic accounts for agriculture for 2019 (preliminary data)
The value of final output in agriculture in 2019 (preliminary data) compared to the previous year went up by 0.5%. The gross value added increased by 1.7%, net operating surplus/mixed income - by 3.7% and net entrepreneurial income by 4.3%.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in September 2020
The consumer price index in September 2020 compared to August 2020 was 99.4%, i.e. the monthly inflation was -0.6%.

Activity of accommodation establishments in August 2020
In August 2020, during the continuing epidemic situation, 2 896 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed-places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 115.8 thousand and the bed-places were 258.2 thousand. In comparison with August 2019, the total number of accommodation establishments (functioned during the period) decreased by 14.6%, and the bed-places in them - by 20.7%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in August 2020 was 3 545.9 thousand, or by 44.7% less in comparison with the same month of the previous year.
The total revenues from nights spent in August 2020 reached 198.7 million BGN or by 47.4% less compared to August 2019.
Trade in goods of Bulgaria with EU in the Period January - July 2020 (preliminary data)
In the period January - July 2020 the exports of goods from Bulgarian to the EU decreased by 6.5% in comparison to the same period of 2019 and amounted to 20 448.4 Million BGN while the imports of goods to Bulgaria from the EU dropped by 12.5% and reached 20 394.0 Million BGN.
In July 2020 the exports of goods to the EU decreased by 6.4% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 3 277.8 Million BGN while the imports of goods dropped by 15.1% and added up to 3 120.8 Million BGN.
Trade in goods of Bulgaria with Third Countries in the Period January - August 2020 (preliminary data)
In the period January - August 2020 the exports of goods from Bulgaria to third countries decreased by 11.5% compared to the same period of 2019 and amounted to 11 990.3 Million BGN while the imports of goods from third countries dropped by 12.8% and added up to 14 593.4 Million BGN.
In the period January - August 2020 the total value of all exported goods to third countries and EU amounted to 35 230.5 Million BGN, which is 8.4% less than the same period of the previous year, while the total value of all imported goods from third countries and EU added up to 37 796.0 Million BGN and dropped by 12.6%.
