The National Statistical Institute has started work on the ‘Labour Force Survey 2023 variables on Pension and labour market participation’ project. The implementation of the project is according to the Grant Agreement with the European Commission
No. 101100636-2022-BG-LFS-LMB.
The additional variables on ‘Pension and labour market participation’ are included in the regular 2023 Labour Force Survey (LFS) following the requirements of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/256 of December 16, 2019 and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1642 of 5 November 5, 2020.
The aim of the 2023 LFS project is to provide comparable information at EU level on the situation of specific groups around retirement, the age of first pension receipt, the type of pensions received and entitlements for an old age pension.
The project duration is 21 months, ending in May 2024.
