On November 16, fourth-year students from the Statistics and Econometrics major at the University of National and World Economy visited the National Statistical Institute. The guests were welcomed by the Director of the Multi-Domain Statistics and User Services Directorate, Ms. Antoaneta Ilkova.
Assoc. Prof. Ekaterina Tosheva, PhD, lecturer of the students, expressed their expectations to be introduced to the digital library of the NSI and have access to the digital information resources of the NSI. Ms. Sonya Zlatanova, a library expert, presented the practise of the creation and online distribution of digital resources. The students also visited the traditional library, where they had the opportunity to see old and rare statistical publications from the late 19th century, as well as the Digital Centre. The young people showed interest and asked many questions related to the digitalization of the library collection.
At the end of the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Tosheva, PhD, expressed her satisfaction and gratitude for the useful information presented to the students.
