In October 2018, National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria launches a project ‘Price Statistics’ under European Commission Subsidy Agreement Number 801941-2017/BG/PS.
Within the project, NSI will participate in the following objectives:
- Adapting the sampling and compilation methodologies of the HICP to the challenges of the digital economy;
- Improvement of quality adjustment methods for the HICP.
The general objective of the project is developing and improving methodology and statistical practice for the HICP that are compatible with the current European legal framework and best practices.
The successful realization of the project will contribute the improvement of the quality of work in the field of consumer prices.
The project has duration of 15 months and will end in December 2019.
