Ms. Yancheva will hold preparatory talks with her colleagues from Statistics Estonia in order to establish cooperation with the team in charge of organising and conducting the Estonian Presidency and to discuss general coordination matters.
In the framework of her visit Ms. Yancheva will attend a seminar, during which representatives from Statistics Denmark will present their experience in chairing the Council Working Party on Statistics.
The National Statistical Institute will chair the meetings of the Council Working Party on Statistics during the upcoming Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2018. Estonia will hold the presidency immediately prior to Bulgaria between July and December 2017, which requires enhanced coordination and ensuring continuity between the two presidencies.
