The project ”Development of instruments for possibilities of on-line definition and fulfilment of requests for statistical information by the BNSI website for citizens, businesses and administration through compilation of information from the BNSI surveys, tables’ generation and check of data confidentiality” was presented.
At the final press conference the NSI President Mr. Sergey Tsvetarsky and project lieder Ms. Diana Yancheva - Deputy President of the NSI, gave more information about the achieved results.
Mr. Tsvetarsky emphasized the importance of the system to improve dissemination of the results of statistical surveys carried out by the NSI, as well as for saving time and resources to a wide range of users: citizens, businesses, professional organizations, societies and associations, governments, whose representatives are able to define online requests for statistical information through the NSI website, as well as for use by employees of the NSI for the production of statistics reference.
Ms. Yancheva outlined the main points of project implementation and answered a number of questions related to the opportunities of using Information System "Infostat" and underlined that the main objective of the project - improving the quality and reliability of service for citizens and businesses by development of e-Government is achieved.
Representatives of the company that developed the Information System "Infostat" - FADATA AD, presented the opportunities of the system for processing of requests from users via three main modules: Free of charge statistical data, Paid database and Specific requests for statistical data. They emphasized the uniqueness of developed software and the opportunities it provides.
Information System "Infostat" was built as a unified web-based application in English and Bulgarian, implemented functionality providing results from statistical surveys conducted by NSI in the form of reports for internal and external users, or maintaining the system objects. The functional structure of the system from user point of view is presented as "Infostat - External users" and "Infostat - Domestic users".

The project started on April 2, 2014 and ending on November 30, 2015 and its duration is 20 months. It amounts to 795 000 BGN.The project has being implemented under a contract № 13-31-19/02.04.2014, between the NSI and the Ministry of Finance, Managing Authority of the Operational Programme “Administrative Capacity”. The contract is funded by the Operational Programme “Administrative Capacity“, co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund.
