Construction Production Indices in May 2013
According to the preliminary data, in May 2013 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data, was 4.2% below the level of the previous month.

The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted decreased by 2.7% in May 2013 as compared to April 2013. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index fall by 6.0% in comparison with the same month of 2012.
In 2012, the government budget appropriations or outlays on R&D amounted to 197.8 Million BGN as compared to 2011 increased by 4.9%.
In June 2013 the total business climate indicator decreases by 0.7 percentage points compared to its level from the previous month due to the more unfavourable business climate in construction, retail trade and service sector. There is some improvement of the business conjuncture only in industry.
In May 2013 compared to April 2013 an increase is reported for the production of liquefied petroleum gases by 28.6% and unleaded motor gasoline - by 1.9%. At the same time a decrease is reported for the production of solid fuels by 35.6%, transport diesel - by 0.5%, natural gas - by 4.2% and electricity - by 15.8%.
Deliveries of liquefied petroleum gases in May 2013 compared to April 2013 increase by 17.2% and unleaded motor gasoline - by 15.4%. At the same time a decrease is reported for the deliveries of solid fuels by 33.1%, transport diesel - by 12.5%, natural gas - by 16.7% and electricity - by 14.5%.
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in May 2013 decreased by 0.2% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2012 the domestic prices fell by 0.7%. Total Producer Price Index went down by 0.9% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2012 the prices declined by 1.0%.
In May 2013 the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 361.9 thousand or by 3.9% above the registered in May 2012. The trips with other purposes (as guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 45.7%, followed by the trips with holiday and recreation purposes - 31.8% and with professional purposes - 22.5%.
In May 2013, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 634.8 thousand which was by 4.8% above the level in May 2012. An increase was registered in the visits with holiday and recreation purposes - by 10.3% as well in the trips with other purposes - by 3.8%, while the professional visits decreased by 7.3%.
Preliminary data of NSI for the First Quarter of 2013 indicated that total hourly labour cost rose by 4.7% compared to the First Quarter of 2012.
The consumer price index in May 2013 compared to April 2013 was 99.9%, i.e. the monthly inflation was -0.1%.
