Activity of Accommodation Establishments in January 2014
In January 2014, 1 886 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 55.2 thousands and the bed-places were 110.1 thousands. In comparison with January 2013 the total number of accommodation establishments increased by 5.3% and the bed-places in them - by 6.4%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in January 2014 was 733.8 thousand or by 13.9% more in comparison with the same month of the previous year. The total revenues from nights spent in January 2014 reached 34.3 million BGN or by 15.1% more compared to January 2013.
Bulgarian Trade with EU for 2013 (preliminary data)
In 2013 Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 9.1% compared to 2012 and amounted to 26.1 Billion BGN while the imports from EU grew by 3.1% and added up to 30.2 Billion BGN.
In December 2013 the exports to the EU increased by 3.4% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 1.7 Billion BGN while the imports increased by 12.7% and added up to 2.5 Billion BGN.
Construction Production Indices in January 2014
According to the preliminary data, in January 2014 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 2.2% above the level of the previous month. The working day adjusted index of production in construction increased by 3.6% in comparison with the same month of 2013.
Turnover Indices in 'Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles' in January 2014
By preliminary seasonally adjusted data in January 2014 the turnover in Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles at constant prices increased by 0.5% compared to the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in January 2014
According to the preliminary data the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted increased by 1.4% in January 2014 as compared to December 2013. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index went up by 2.3% in comparison with the same month of 2013.
Gross Domestic Product for 2012 – Final Data
According to the final data, GDP at 2005 constant prices has increased by 0.6 % compared to the previous year.
Gross Domestic Product for the Fourth Quarter of 2013 and 2013 (preliminary data)
According to the seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the fourth quarter of 2013 is 1.2% compared with the same quarter of the previous year.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, January 2014
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in January 2014 remained at the level of the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2013 the domestic prices fell by 2.0%. Total Producer Price Index increased by 0.1% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2013 the prices fell by 2.4%.
Business Conjuncture, February 2014
In February 2014 the total business climate indicator preserves its level from the previous month. The inquiries report an improvement of the indicator in industry (by 1.5 percentage points) and construction (by 2.7 percentage points), and a decrease in retail trade and service sector (by 2.1 and 3.0 percentage points respectively).
Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in January 2014
In January 2014, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 272.5 thousand or by 2.3% above the registered in January 2013. The trips with other purposes (as guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 52.8%, followed by the trips with holiday and recreation purposes - 25.9%, and with professional purpose - 21.3%.
In January 2014, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 368.1 thousand which was by 4.7% above the level of January 2013. An increase was registered in the visits with other purposes and holiday and recreation purpose - by 8.9 and 5.3% respectively, while these with professional purpose decreased by 5.7%.
