According to preliminary data during the fourth quarter of 2015 in comparison with the same period of 2014 there was a decrease in the transported goods - by 4.7%, while the transport performance from the freight land and water transport increased by 1.5%.

Compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year the number of transported passengers by passenger transport (land, water and urban electrical transport) rose by 1.4%. The transport performance also increased by 7.8% compared to fourth quarter of 2014.

According to the preliminary data for the fourth quarter of 2015 the total turnover index in section ‘Transportation, storage and post’, calculated on the basis of seasonally adjusted data increased by 4.3% compared to the previous quarter, while in section ‘Information and communication’ - by 4.9%.

The producer price index in agriculture in the fourth quarter of 2015 increased by 9.8% in comparison with the same quarter of 2014. The crop output index increased by 10.9% and the animal output index - by 4.8%. In comparison with previous year the prices of agricultural output went up by 1.1%. The crop output index increased by 2.9% while the animal output index decreased by 4.0%.

The index of prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture in the fourth quarter of 2015 was 2.6% below the level in the same quarter of previous year and by 4.8% compared to 2014.

In the fourth quarter of 2015, 754.8 thousand Bulgarian residents made tourist trips. The majority (84.8%) of them travelled only within the country, 12.3% - only abroad and 2.9% - both in the country and abroad. Compared to the same quarter of 2014 the total number of the travelled persons aged 15 and over decreased by 4.1%, as a reduction was observed in the number of the Bulgarian residents travelled in the country - by 6.8%, while in the number of persons travelled abroad increased by 19.1%.

The total income average per household member during the fourth quarter of 2015 is 1 262 BGN and increases by 2.9% compared to the same quarter of 2014

The total expenditure average per household member during the fourth quarter of 2015 is 1 162 BGN and decreases by 0.7% in comparison with the same quarter of 2014.

The consumption of main food products average per household member decreases during the fourth quarter of 2015 compared to the same quarter of 2014.

In the fourth quarter of 2015 the unemployment rate was 7.9%, and the employment rate of population aged 20 - 64 was 68.1%.

According to the preliminary data of the NSI, the consumer price index in January 2016 compared to December 2015 was 100.0%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.0%.

According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute at the end of December 2015 the number of employees under labour contract decreased by 2.2% as compared to the end of September 2015 and reached 2.22 million.

In the fourth quarter of 2015 in comparison with the third quarter of 2015 the average monthly wages and salaries increased by 4.7% getting 915 BGN.

According to the seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the fourth quarter of 2015 is 3.1% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.

According to preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute in the fourth quarter of 2015 the number of newly built residential buildings was 661 and the newly built dwellings in them was 2 180. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2014 the buildings were by 59 less (or by 8.2%) and the newly built dwellings in them decreased by 115 or by 5.0%.
