Foreign Trade of Bulgaria for 2010 - Final Data
In 2010 the value of the exported goods was 30.4 billion levs and compared to 2009 the exports increased by 33.0% while the value of the imported goods was 37.6 billion levs (CIF prices) or 14.0% more than the previous year.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in August 2011
The consumer price index (CPI) in August 2011 compared to July 2011 was 99.7%, i.e. the monthly inflation was -0.3%.
The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) in August 2011 compared to July 2011 was 99.9%, i.e. the monthly inflation was -0.1%.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - July 2011 (preliminary data)
In the period January - July 2011 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 35.1% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and exceeded 8.6 billion levs while the imports increased by 24.2% and reached to 10.5 billion levs.
In the period January - July 2011 the total value of the exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 22.4 billion levs and compared to the corresponding period of 2010 the exports increased by 36.9% while the total value of all imported goods was 24.8 billion levs and increased by 21.8%.
Construction Production Indices in July 2011
According to the preliminary data of the NSI, in July 2011 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 0.9% below the level of the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in July 2011
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted increased by 1.5% in July 2011 as compared to June 2011. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 6.2% as compared to the same month of 2010.
Bulgarian Trade with EU for the Period January - June 2011 (preliminary data)
In the period January - June 2011 the Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 43.6% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 11.6 billion levs while the imports increased by 20.5% and amounted to 12.1 billion levs.
In June 2011 the exports to the EU increased by 23.1% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and exceeded 2.0 billion levs while the imports increased by 3.8% and exceeded 1.9 billion levs.
Gross Domestic Product for the Second Quarter of 2011
In the second quarter of 2011 GDP at current prices amounts to 18 804 million levs. In Euro terms GDP reaches to 9 614.3 million euro or 1 284.1 euro per person. According to the seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the second quarter of 2011 is 0.3% compared to the first quarter of 2011 and 2.0% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
Household Income, Expenditure and Consumption during the Second Quarter of 2011
The average quarterly total income average per household member during the second quarter of 2011 is 940 Levs or by 3.8% more compared to the same quarter of 2010. The main part of this income (82.5%) is received from wages and salaries and pensions.
The total expenditure per household member during the second quarter of 2011 is 870 Levs and it increases by 8.2% in relation to the same quarter of 2010. Expenditure on food and housing (energy, fuel and water) has the greatest share in forming the total expenditure and constitute 49.5% of total expenditure.
The consumption of main food products average per household member capita doesn’t change during the second quarter of 2011 compared to the second quarter of 2010.
Foreign Direct Investments and Expenditure on Acquisition of Tangible Fixed Assets, 2010
According to preliminary data the foreign direct investments in non-financial sector as of 31.12.2010 amounted to EUR 22 119 million or by 8.2% more as compared to 2009.
According to preliminary data in 2010 the actual expenditure on acquisition of tangible fixed assets in all sectors of the economy reached 16 317 million BGN and fell by 23.3% than the previous year.
