According to the preliminary data, in April 2013 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data, was 4.2% above the level of the previous month.

The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted increased by 1.1% in April 2013 as compared to March 2013. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index fall by 1.3% in comparison with the same month of 2012.

According to the seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the first quarter of 2013 is 0.4% compared with the same quarter of 2012.

At the end of 2012 health network in the country covered 339 establishments for hospital aid with 48 308 beds in them. The number of hospitals was 312 with 45 726 beds in them. The number of out-patient health establishments was 1804 with 838 beds and other health establishments were 141 with 4 426 beds.

In April 2013 compared to March 2013 an increase is reported for the production of solid fuels by 22.7%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 53.9% and transport diesel - by 40.3%. At the same time a decrease is reported for the production of natural gas by 7.7% and electricity - by 16.8%.
No change is reported for the production of liquefied petroleum gases.

Deliveries of solid fuels in April 2013 compared to March 2013 increase by 20.2% and transport diesel - by 64.8%. At the same time a decrease is reported for the deliveries of liquefied petroleum gases by 3.3%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 9.8%, natural gas - by 28.0% and electricity - by 16.7%.

Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in April 2013 decreased by 0.9% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2012 the domestic prices fell by 1.4%. Total Producer Price Index went down by 0.8% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2012 the prices declined by 1.9%.

According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute for the second semester of 2012, the trials ended with inflicted penalty cover 14 259 committed crimes.
The number of persons convicted with penalties came into force amounted to 15 943, while 961 of them were Juveniles aged 14-17 years, that presents 6.0% of the total number of convicted persons.

In May 2013 the total business climate indicator decreases by 1.1 percentage points compared to its level from the previous month. In industry and construction the drop of the indicator is observed (by 4.4 и 1.9 percentage points), while in retail trade and service sector the business climate increases respectively by 3.4 and 1.9 percentage points.

According to preliminary data during the first quarter of 2013 in comparison with the same period of 2012 an increase in the transported goods by 13.3% was observed, while the transport performance fell by 13.8%. Compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year both - the transported passengers and the transport performance, increased by 5.1% and 13.3%, respectively.

In April 2013 the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 309.4 thousand or by 6.8% under the registered in April 2012. The trips with other purposes (as guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 56.2%, followed by the trips with professional purpose - 22.6% and with holiday and recreation purposes - 21.2%.
In April 2013, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 467.2 thousand which was by 1.2% above the level from April 2012. An increase in the visits with holiday and recreation purposes - by 7.9% was registered, while the trips with professional and other purposes decreased by 2.8% and by 2.0% respectively.
