The Industrial Production Index decreased by 2.5% in January 2024 compared to the previous month. The data are preliminary and seasonally adjusted.
A decrease was seen in the mining and quarrying industry - by 10.7%, in the manufacturing - by 2.5%, and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - by 0.8%.
In comparison with January 2023, a decline of 7.5% was registered in the calendar-adjusted Industrial Production Index.
On an annual basis, a drop in the Industrial Production Index was observed in the manufacturing - by 10.4%, and in the mining and quarrying industry - by 8.2%, while an increase was registered in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - by 7.8%.
