Theme 'Population and Social Statistics'

The National Statistical Institute presents to the attention of users interested in social statistics the newest annual bilingual (Bulgarian and English) electronic publication Education in the Republic of Bulgaria 2022.

The publication contains main data from the five carried out annual comprehensive statistical surveys, which characterizing the activity of educational institutions in Bulgaria for the period from 2017/2018 to 2021/2022 school (academic) years.

The NSI annual electronic bilingual publication Crimes and Persons Convicted 2021, containing data on crimes with penalty inflicted, accused persons and persons convicted is available for users of statistical information.

The issue includes data about the activity of district, regional and military courts as well as Specialized Criminal Court in penal cases of a general, private and administrative nature. Comparable data on crimes with penalty inflicted, as well as persons convicted with sentences in force for 1991 - 2021 period are also presented.

The National Statistical Institute presents to users of statistical information electronic bilingual (Bulgarian/English) publication Environment 2020 that contains data from surveys of NSI in 2020 related to the environment in Bulgaria. There are also data on key indicators for the period 2016 - 2020.

The bilingual (Bulgarian-English) publication presents annual average data from the Labour force survey. The Labour force survey is a sample statistical survey on households for examination of the economic activity of the population aged 15 years and over.

The methodology of the survey has been developed according to ILO and Eurostat recommendations.

The data sources are the statistical surveys carried out by the both institutions.
