On September 1, in the open-air gallery ‘Gradska gradina’ in front of the National Theatre in Sofia, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) and Sofia Municipality opened an exhibition on the theme ‘Statistics for Everyone’. From the 1st to the 18th of September, the citizens and guests of the city will be able to see the modern face of the NSI as a source of official data.
The information panels, prepared in Bulgarian and English, will acquaint you with the main channels of communication of the NSI with the users, as well as with the initiatives to increase the statistical literacy and culture of young people in Bulgaria. The international successes and prizes won by Bulgarian pupils and students in various statistical competitions are presented.
For those who like challenges, there are two games - ‘Scan and Win!’ and ‘Play with the Stats!’. The ‘Scan and Win!’ quiz provides the opportunity to answer 5 questions related to the activities of the NSI after scanning the QR code. In the other game, ‘Play with Statistics!’, you need to take a picture of yourself with the panel or only the panel that best matches your choice of the institution's information and communication tools or statistical competitions and send the picture to [email protected]. A raffle with various surprises awaits participants in both games after the exhibition.
The official opening of the exhibition will be on September 1 at 4 PM.
