Today, on February, 7, 2018, at its regular meeting, the Council of Ministers adopted the updated Strategy for Development of the National Statistical System of the Republic of Bulgaria and extended its action until 2020.
The Strategy reflects national and European needs and is in line with the priorities laid down in the European Statistical Programme (ESP) for the period 2013-2017. The decision meets the newly adopted Regulation (EU) No 2017/195, according to which the duration of the ESP is extended to 2020.
The synchronization of the Strategy for Development of the National Statistical System of the Republic of Bulgaria with the Multiannual Statistical Programme of the European Union guarantees the implementation of the EU strategic priorities in the field of collection and processing of statistical information. It ensures faster and timely production of up-to-date statistics and dissemination of qualitative statistics for all user groups.
