The National Statistical Institute and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences have concluded an Agreement on Cooperation and Strategic Partnership in the Exchange of Information

The President of the National Statistical Institute, Sergei Tsvetarski, and the President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Academician Julian Revalski, signed an Agreement on Cooperation and Strategic Partnership in the exchange of information between the two institutions.

The Agreement notes that the NSI and the BAS will cooperate in developing methodological, organizational, regulatory, software and various solutions related to the exchange of information between the two institutions. The NSI and the BAS will exchange information with strict compliance of statistical confidentiality, will hold joint conferences, symposia, working groups and other events to discuss and popularize the results of statistical research and scientific surveys and analyses, will form the appropriate environment for stimulating scientific, including statistical knowledge and innovative ideas, will facilitate strengthening and expansion of international contacts and cooperation.

When signing the agreement, the NSI President noted that this document is a natural and necessary continuation and amendment to the Agreement between the two institutions concluded in the beginning of 2013 as the partnership is already producing results. The NSI and the BAS work on joint projects, participate in scientific forums, work to improve the quality of official statistics.
