At its third meeting for 2012, held on November 30 at the building of the NSI, the National Statistical Council considered and adopted the Report for 2012, which represents the implementation of the tasks of NSP (National Statistical Programme) 2012 and NSI activities during the past year.
Representatives of the Bulgarian National Bank, Ministry of Finance and the Bodies of Statistics expressed gratitude to NSI for the exceptionally good cooperation and expressed their satisfaction with the timely provision of information, accurate and objective statistical data that meets the quality requirements of Eurostat.
The NSI President Reneta Indjova, Ph.D. stressed upon the need to promote achievements in the field of statistics to the public.
The meeting reviewed and adopted the National Statistical Programme for the next year. NSP 2013 reflects the national needs for statistical information and is consistent with the priorities set out in the Annual European Statistical Programme for 2013.
The National Statistical Council was acquainted with the upcoming initiatives and activities of the NSI on the preparation for participation in the events dedicated to 2013, declared to be the International Year of Statistics. The focus will be on worldwide celebration of the contributions of statistical science and practice in the development of global society.
