World Health Day is celebrated every year on April 7, the date on which the World Health Organization (WHO) was established in 1948.
This year, the WHO celebrates 75 years since its founding.
Each year, a theme is chosen that highlights a priority area. This year's theme, ‘Health for All’, expresses the commitment stated by the WHO since the drafting of its founding Constitution, which uncompromisingly calls for health as a fundamental right of every human being and a basis for peace and security.
