NSI - host of training on JDEMETRA+ and seasonal adjustment for National Account data

National Statistical Institute hosts training of statisticians from Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Turkey, organized jointly with Eurostat.

Lecturers of the course are Dario Buono and Enrico Infante from Eurostat.

The course is held in the period 17-19 October 2017 in the Training and Qualification Center of NSI in the village of Slivek, Lovech region.

The aim of the course is to familiarize the experts with the basic concepts and methods of applying seasonal adjustment and their use through the software JDEMETRA+ (version 2.2), with a focus on data in the field of national accounts. The seasonality test, the model identification and selection for time series decomposition, treatment of, seasonal, calendar and random components, direct and indirect methods for seasonal adjustment of time series will be explained and demonstrated, in order to be in line with the ESS guidelines on Seasonal Adjustment.

During the training the participants will have the opportunity to do practical exercise with their own data in order to deal with practical aspects of applying the seasonal adjustment and JDEMETRA + software in the field of national accounts.
