Mr. Sergey Tsvetarsky, President of the National Statistical Institute and Junior Member State Project Leader opened the meeting with the Azerbaijani colleagues. In his statement he stressed the importance of the twinning projects as a useful tool for both sides for exchange of knowledge and ideas.
On behalf of BNSI experts from the following departments will participate in the training: “General Methodology and Analysis of Statistical Surveys”, “Relations with Users and e-Services”, “Education and Culture Statistics”, “Structural Business Statistics” and “Consumer Price Statistics and PPP”.
During the study visit in Bulgaria the statisticians from the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan will also get acquainted with the experience of Regional Statistical Office – Yugoiztok and Regional Statistical Office – Yug where they will learn about the implementation of Generic Statistical Business Process Model (GSBPM), the statistical quality management and control as well as the dissemination of statistical products and services at regional level.
The implementation period of the twinning project “Support to the State Statistical Committee in Harmonisation of the National Statistics System of the Republic of Azerbaijan in line with European standards” is 24 months and is funded by the European Union.
