Bulgarian Trade with EU in the Period January - May 2015 (preliminary data)
In period January - May 2015 the Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 12.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 11.6 Billion BGN while the imports grew by 8.0% and added up to 13.3 Billion BGN.
In May 2015 the exports to the EU increased by 12.0% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and added up to 2.3 Billion BGN while the imports grew by 9.4% and amounted to 2.6 Billion BGN.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries in the Period January - June 2015 (preliminary data)
In the period January - June 2015 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 8.8% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 8.2 Billion BGN while the imports decreased by 0.1% and added up to 9.4 Billion BGN.
In the period January - June 2015 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 22.4 Billion BGN and compared to the corresponding period of 2014 the exports grew by 11.0% while the total value of all imported goods added up to 25.4 Billion BGN and increased by 4.7%.
Construction Production Indices in June 2015
According to the preliminary data, in June 2015 the index of production in section ‘Construction’ calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 2.6% above the level of the previous month. In June 2015 the working day adjusted index of production in construction increased by 1.5% in comparison with the same month of 2014.
Turnover Indices in 'Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles' in June 2015
According to the preliminary seasonally adjusted data in June 2015 the turnover in ‘Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles’ at constant prices increased by 0.8% compared to the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in June 2015
According to the preliminary data the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, increased by 0.6% in June 2015 as compared to May 2015. In June 2015 the working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 5.7% in comparison with the same month of 2014.
Newly Built Residential Buildings and Dwellings Completed in the Second Quarter of 2015 (preliminary data)
According to preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute in the second quarter of 2015 the number of newly built residential buildings was 497 and the newly built dwellings in them was 1 970 (Annex, Table 1). Compared to the second quarter of 2014 the buildings were by 131 less (or by 20.9%) and the newly built dwellings in them decreased by 1 082 or by 35.5%.

Employees under Labour Contract and Gross Average Wages and Salaries, Second Quarter of 2015
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute at the end of June 2015 the number of employees under labour contract increased by 3.6% as compared to the end of March 2015 and reached 2.31 millions.
In the second quarter of 2015 in comparison with the first quarter of 2015 the average monthly wages and salaries increased by 2.3% getting 879 BGN.

Similar to statistics of human population, business demography describes the life cycle of the enterprises; their birth, survival and development until death. More specifically business demography supplies data on number of active enterprises, number of newborn enterprises, proportion of survived enterprises and data on changes in employment figures at specific moment in time.
