Publications

The National Statistical Institute informs users of statistical information that the annual bilingual (Bulgarian/English) publication Environment 2009 (on CD) is already available. The publication contains environmental data from NSI statistical surveys in 2009. The main indicators are presented for the 2004 – 2009 period.

The information is systematized in the following sections:

• Emissions in the air;

The annual bilingual publication ‘Energy Balance Sheets 2009’ contains the data for 2004 - 2009 on energy statistics obtained from the current surveys of the National Statistical Institute.

The publication presents also detailed information on:

• Commodity energy balances - coal and coal products, crude oil and petroleum products, natural gas, renewables, electricity and heat

• Overall energy balance

• Primary energy production

The National Statistical Institute and the Regional Statistical Office – Ruse present the e-publication (in Bulgarian) Education in Ruse district for the 2000/2001 - 2009/2010 period to users of statistical information.

The issue contains information from the carried out four annual comprehensive statistical surveys, which characterizing the activity of educational institutions in the district for the last ten years.

The National Statistical Institute (NSI) has the pleasure to submit to the attention of national and foreign users of statistical information the 77th edition of the ‘Statistical Yearbook of the Republic of Bulgaria’ in printed and electronic format. The issue is published in 2010, which marks 130 years since the establishment of a statistical institution in Bulgaria and 100 years since publishing of the first ‘Statistical Yearbook of the Bulgarian Kingdom’ in 1910.

The NSI annual electronic publication Population and Demographic Processes 2009 is available for users of statistical information.

The issue is bilingual (Bulgarian/English) and contains detailed statistical information about the demographic state in the Republic of Bulgaria during the year of 2009. Data for the number and the structures of the population and for its natural movement and internal migration are published in the issue.

The National Statistical Institute informs users of statistical information in the field of social statistics that the annual publication Health Services 2010 (in Bulgarian only) is already available.

The publication Health Services is a joint edition of the National Statistical Institute and the National Centre for Health Information at the Ministry of Health.

The data sources are the statistical surveys carried out by the both institutions.

The NSI annual electronic bilingual publication Crimes and Persons Convicted 2009, containing data on crimes with penalty inflicted is available for users of statistical information. The issue includes data about the activity of regional, district and martial courts in penal cases of a general, private and administrative nature. Comparable data on crimes with penalty inflicted, as well as persons convicted with sentences in force for 1989 - 2009 period are also shown.

The National Statistical Institute presents to users of statistical information the annual publication - Statistical Reference Book 2010 in English. It is a concise form of the same issue in Bulgarian.

The Statistical Reference Book presents topical information on the demographic processes as well as the economic, social and cultural development of the Republic of Bulgaria for the 2005 - 2009 period.
