From July 2024, NSI started publishing Producer Prices Indices in Industry by base year 2021 = 100 in accordance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 of the European Parliament and of the Council for European Business Statistics and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1197.
The Total Producer Price Index in Industry rose by 2.2% in July 2024 compared to the previous month. An increase of 8.1% was registered in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, and in the manufacturing industry by 0.4%, while the prices in the mining and quarrying industry fell by 2.4%.
The Producer Price Index on the Domestic Market increased by 3.5% compared to June 2024. The domestic prices rose in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - by 9.8%, and in the manufacturing industry - by 0.4%, while the mining and quarrying industry decreased - by 0.8%.
The Total Producer Price Index went up by 1.4% in July 2024 compared to the same month in 2023. An increase was observed in the mining and quarrying industry - by 8.9%, and in the manufacturing industry - by 2.3%. There was a decline in prices in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - by 3.1%.
The Producer Price Index on the Domestic Market increased by 0.9% compared to July 2023. A growth was reported in the mining and quarrying industry - by 15.0%, and in the manufacturing industry - by 1.5%. A decrease was observed in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - by 2.1%.
