Statistics on vocational training in Vocational Training Centers, Vocational Gymnasiums and Vocational Colleges provide data on vocational training against payment for persons aged 16 years and over for the attainment of professional qualification level.

· International Standard Classification of Education, 2011 version (ISCED 2011);

· Eurostat Fields of Education and Training, 1999 (FOET) and list of professions for vocational education and training;

· ISCED Fields of Education and Training 2013 (ISCED-F 2013).

The survey covers all licensed Vocational Training Centers, Vocational Gymnasiums and until 2021 Vocational Colleges in Bulgaria, according to the Law on Vocational Education and Training.

A pupil/student is every person enrolled in an educational program of formal education according to ISCED irrespective of the mode of attendance. Formal education includes educational programmes implemented in legitimate educational institutions created according to the existing legal order.

Graduates are those pupils/students who have received a document for a completed level of education and/or professional qualification level from a legitimate educational institution, containing all the necessary records and stamps according to the law.
