The National Statistical Institute presents to users of statistical information electronic bilingual (Bulgarian/English) publication Environment 2014 which contains data from surveys of NSI in 2014 related to the environment in Bulgaria. There are also data on key indicators for the period 2010 - 2014. The information is systematized in the following sections:

• Water abstraction, water supply, water use, wastewater, wastewater treatment plants;
• Waste - generated waste, industrial waste by kind of economic activity, municipal and demolution waste;

• Availability and movement of tangible fixed assets with ecological use;

• Protected natural scenery;
• Underground reserves;
• Crimes against environment with penalties imposed and convicted persons.
The data are aggregated by branch, territorial and geographical aspects. Information is presented in tables and graphics. Each chapter contains methodological notes and an analysis. The publication is of interest to the public, the Government, ecologists and economists.
