The National Statistical Institute brings to the attention of users of statistical information the annual electronic publication Road Traffic Accidents in the Republic of Bulgaria 2023, a joint publication of the Ministry of the Interior and the National Statistical Institute.
The publication contains tables with annual information on registered traffic accidents and killed and injured persons in the country in 2023, distributed by:
– Districts and municipalities;
– Type of accidents;
– Location and road class;
– Age groups and gender of traffic participants;
– Type and ownership of vehicles;
– Main reasons;
– Days of the week and months;
– Foreign drivers’ fault, distributed by countries.
The data enable a multi-aspect analysis of road traffic accidents, the changes that occurred compared to the previous year and the state of road traffic safety in the country.
