Industrial Production Indices in January 2015
According to the preliminary data the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, increased by 2.0% in January 2015 as compared to December 2014. In January 2015 the working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 1.7% in comparison with the same month of 2014.
Gross Domestic Product for the Fourth Quarter of 2014 and Preliminary Data for 2014
According to the seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the fourth quarter of 2014 is 1.3% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
Goods and Passengers Carried and Transport Performance by Mode of Transport in the Fourth Quarter of 2014 (preliminary data)
According to preliminary data during the fourth quarter of 2014 in comparison with the same period of 2013 there was a 6.9% drop in the transported goods by the land and water transport, while the transport performance increased by 0.3%.
Compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year in the fourth quarter of 2014 the number of transported passengers as well the transport performance from the passenger transport registered a growth by 1.3% and 7.0%, respectively.
Production and Deliveries of Energy Products, December 2014
In December 2014 compared to November 2014 an increase of the production of solid fuels by 8.8%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 4.8%, natural gas - by 140.0% and electricity - by 11.3% is reported. At the same time a decrease of the production of transport diesel by 2.2% is reported. No change for the production of liquefied petroleum gases is reported.
In December 2014 compared to November 2014 an increase of the deliveries of solid fuels by 11.1%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 60.9%, transport diesel - by 29.8%, natural gas - by 19.0% and electricity - by 11.4% is reported. No change for the deliveries of liquefied petroleum gases is reported.
Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in January 2015
In January 2015, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 295.1 thousand or by 8.3% above the registered in January 2014. The trips with other purposes (as a guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) in January 2015 composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 46.2%, followed by the trips with professional purpose - 32.6%, and with holiday and recreation purposes - 21.2%.
In January 2015, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 393.4 thousands or by 6.9% above the level of January 2014. An increase was registered in the trips with professional purpose and with other purposes by 43.9% and 20.2% respectively, while the trips with holiday and recreation purpose decreased by 13.2%.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, January 2015
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in January 2015 decreased by 0.9% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2014 the domestic prices fell by 1.9%. Total Producer Price Index in January 2015 declined by 1.2% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2014 the prices went down by 2.9%.

In February 2015 the total business climate indicator increases by 1.2 percentage points compared to the previous month which is due to the improved managers’ opinions in industry, construction and retail trade.
Turnover Indices in Services in the Fourth Quarter of 2014
According to the preliminary data in the fourth quarter of 2014 the total turnover index in section ‘Transportation, storage and post’, calculated on the basis of seasonally adjusted data, increased by 3.8% than the previous quarter, while in section ‘Information and communication’ - by 3.3%.
Tourist Trips and Tourism-related Expenditure of the Population in Fourth Quarter of 2014 (preliminary data)
In the fourth quarter of 2014, 791.3 thousand Bulgarian residents made tourist trips. The majority (86.8%) of them travelled only within the country, 9.9% - only abroad and 3.4% - both in the country and abroad. Compared to the same quarter of 2013 the total number of the travelled persons aged 15 and over increased by 15.4%, as an increase was observed in the number of the Bulgarian residents travelled in the country - by 24.1%, while the number of persons travelled abroad decreased by 30.2%.
Main Labour Force Survey Results for the Fourth Quarter of 2014
In the fourth quarter of 2014 the unemployment rate was 10.6%, and the employment rate of population aged 15 - 64 was 61.4%.
