Number Concept Description
1 Data description The total resident population and its structures are defined as of 31.12. of the reference year. The number and structures of the population at the end of each year are calculated on the basis of data for the previous year and data on the natural and mechanical movement of the population in the current year. In Census year the population is being recalculated at the end of the respective year. By the calculation of the population the definition "permanent population" is used. According to the definition the total resident population includes people who live permanently (have a current address) in the country as of 31.12. of the respective year and have not been absent from it for a period more than 1 year.
2 Classification used Unified Classification of Administrative-Territorial and Territorial Units (UCATTU)
