The table about the emissions of pollutants in the air contains information from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) and Executive Environmental Agency at the Ministry of Environment and Water. The emissions are estimated by using a balance method based on the indicators: consumed fuels, calorific value, quantity of produced output and invested raw materials, as well as emission factors applicable for the respective pollutants.

The classification used according EMEP/EEA guidebook 2023 of:

· sources of emissions;

· fuels;

·  treatment facilities and measures to protect the atmosphere.

The statistical survey includes enterprises of all economic activities which operation is  linked with the formation of emissions.

Concepts and definitions are used according to EMEP/EEA guidebook 2023.

Firms, enterprises, local units, which activity is directly or indirectly connected with the formation of emissions.

Economic subjects, which composition of activities includes:

• processes for energy production (covered by the spent fuels);
• processes for production of other output (covered by the input raw materials, output, etc.).

The data for the previous year are provided annually to the Executive Environment Agency, for the needs of the inventory of emissions of harmful substances.

Individual data are not published in accordance with article 25 of the Law on Statistics. The publishing of individual data can be performed only in accordance with article 26 of the same law.
